When you come to our office, the friendly faces of Gina Rikard and Janet Corn are the first ones you will see. They are there to greet and register you, make your appointments, handle insurance claims, answer the busily ringing phone and keep the front desk running smoothly which helps keep the whole office functioning at its best.  Gina is a graduate of Hendersonville High School, attended Mars Hill College and is married to Mike Rikard. They are the parents of two boys.  Gina is office trained as a dental assistant. Janet Shipman Corn graduated from Hendersonville High School, completed Dental Radiography at AB Tech, is mother of two and is married to Foy Corn.

If you have an appointment for a cleaning, our three experienced Dental Hygienists Carolyn Collins, Lorraine Ward, Thomasine Wilson and Stephanie Cannon will do a professional job. Not only will they clean your teeth, they will instruct you in up-to-date methods on oral hygiene practices you can perform at home to maintain good oral health.  They will help you become partners with our office in keeping your teeth as healthy as possible. Carolyn is a graduate of Tuscola High School in Haywood County and  Guilford Community College in Greensboro. She is married to Mike Collins, and they are parents of two daughters. Lorraine is a graduate of East Henderson High School, and AB Technical/Community College Dental Hygiene Program. She is married to Jim Ward and they are the parents of a daughter and a son. Thomasine Slade Wilson is originally from Enfield, NC and is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dental Hygiene.  She is the mother of two daughters.  Stephanie Cannon is a graduate of East High School, attended NC State, has her hygiene degree from AB Tech and is the mother of two children.

Linda Mintz, Karen Robinson, Jill Williams and Heather Robinson are our office Dental Assistants. They are there by your side when you come to the office for dental procedures and restorations done by the dentist. They have years of experience, and frequently know what tools and materials are needed without verbal requests.  Their chairside skills make your visit much more pleasant and efficient. Linda is a graduate of East Henderson High School, and office trained for assisting certified for radiology at AB Tech/Community College.  She is married to local contractor Don Mintz of Saluda. They have one son. Karen is a graduate of West Henderson High School, has experience in nursing, and also trained as a Dental Assistant at AB Tech/Community College.  She is married to local accountant Kevin Robinson.

Jill Williams graduated from East Henderson High School, and  certified for radiography at AB Tech and office trained for dental assisting.  Heather Robinson graduated from East Henderson High School and also completed Dental Assisting and Radiography at AB Tech. She is married to Michael Robinson.  

All staff members make an important contribution to the dental team. Several staff members volunteer with the doctors at the Volunteer Dental Extraction Clinic at Blue Ridge Community Health Center in Hendersonville.

Dr. Bill Garrison received a BA in Chemistry and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Emory University. He married Mary Rogers, also an Emory student, in 1973. In 1976, he moved to Flat Rock and purchased the practice of Dr. Charles Dobson who was retiring. He has practiced Dentistry in the same location since that time. They are parents of two children.  Dr. Patrick Garrison received his BA in Chemistry and Doctor of Dental Surgery from UNC-Chapel Hill. He is married to Keri Simpson Garrison of Hendersonville. She is also a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and is an oncology nurse. Daughter Anne is married to Jonathan Capp. Both are graduates of University of Colorado at Boulder. Anne is a high school foreign language teacher, and Jonathan is in a graduate program in architecture.
